Today both kids got to play on their sports teams.
Kylee and her Yellow Dragon soccer team kicked their way to victory.
I can't tell you how much fun it is to watch our little girl play this game. She makes us all laugh on the sidelines. Last fall she would spend more time "Skipping" up and down the field than running. She's also the team "Hugger." But she also does a pretty good job chasing down the ball. She's gotten pretty aggressive and... Kylee even managed to score a goal in the game! Her team blew out the opposition, which has been the recurring theme for their games.
Rylan had his first baseball game of the season.
It's that time of year when little league players take the field. Once again Rylan is playing, this year on the "Devil Rays" team. Our little RY has really taken to this sport.
This year our friend and neighbor Brian is his coach and I am one of the assistants. I can't tell you how much fun it is to help coach these kids.
This year is the first where they have to hit a player pitched ball, as well as use the 3-strike and 3-out rules. So, Rylan got only one chance at bat, but he managed to hit it. Way To Go RY!!
But if you really want to see a smile on his face, you let him play his favorite position... He puts on the gear and grins from ear-to-ear. And he's a darn good little catcher as well. His only concern was that I had bought him a "Cup" to wear which he thought was a little strange. :)
In the end it was a 1 to 1 tie, but it was fun to watch!
