It seems just like yesterday that there were tears on the first day of school, but we all know that Shelly got over it and let her little girl go... Fast forward 9 months later, and Kylee had managed to finish Kindergarten, and both her Mom and Dad couldn't be prouder!
The elementary school held a "graduation" ceremony for all the Kindergarten children today, and it was cute... LONG, but cute.
Every Day the kindergarten class would sing a song before they went home, and got to sing it today for the very last time.
Our little "Cheeseball" hamming it up for the camera.
The principal was handing out the little diplomas in a weird way, so I couldn't get a good photo...
I'll have to admit that at the beginning of the school year I was afraid that Kylee would try to take over the classroom, and really would suffer academically as well as socially. however I cannot say enough good things about her teacher, Mrs. Thompson, she managed to reign Kylee in where she needed to, yet allowed her to grow as well. We could not have asked for a better teacher for our little girl's first year in the public school system. She would tell the kids every day how much she loved them, and I could tell that it was an honest and heartfelt truth.
Here we are a Very Proud Mom and Dad!
So with the diploma, it's official... Kylee goes to First Grade!
