Today was one of those Bittersweet kind of days.

Dylan flew in from Maryland late in the morning to spend the summer with us. HOORAY! Poor Rylan had a hard time going to sleep the night before because he was so excited.
Although he probably hasn't grown that much, he seems bigger than when I saw him 6 months ago. The kids were very happy to see him, as were Shelly and I!

Okay so bitter's probably the wrong word to be using here, but it works with the opening statement. Anyway...
Shelly went with Anna and Stacey to Cali for a girls weekend. I'm happy she's getting away, I want her to have TONS of fun, and I know she will. I just miss her while she's gone. Sleeping's just not the same when she's not here.

I can not believe what a handsome MAN he has turned out to be! Sounds like it will be a fun weekend for all...take a couple of sleeping pills and sprawl out in bed!
