This has been a Fun Filled Day!
We started off by getting Dylan off to the 5K Freedom Run that he wanted to participate in.
We are VERY PROUD of him for this. He's been running with the cross country team for the past few weeks and he took the initiative to get signed up for the race. He finished in the middle of the pack, something to be very proud of himself!
The race was right before the Tooele Parade.
The kids looked so cute, and they both were just the best, giving candy that they would get to the littler kids around them.
We watched the parade, which was long, got lots of candy, and even saw a few F16's do a FlyOver. (That's always cool!)
After a bite to eat, Shelly made her World Famous Chocolate Chip Rice Krispy Treats and we headed up to Grandpa Barnes' for Dinner, as well as for Wes and I to go for a bike ride.
We headed up to the East Side of Ogden, above Weber State and hit the Bonneville Shoreline Trail. When we go to the top, we took a couple photos, Wes on his Blue/Yellow YETI and Marc on my White/Black Rocky Mountain. Also, it's a fantastic view of the Ogden valley! Better panoramic shot here than the one I did in Tooele! This time I had more than my Cell Phone camera! :-D
I need to do more rides like this, say every week! Or More!
Happy End of 2023

Way to go Dylan! That is really impressive. Sounds like you had a really fun 4th...we miss you.
I really miss the Bonneville shoreline trail in Ogden. I should have gone on it before I left. I don't think "mountain" biking really exists here. There's a great trail that goes along the beach for about 12 miles, but it is paved, flat, and full of tourists. I guess I will have to live through your mountain biking experiences, so keep the pictures coming!!!
