Another Day "Off"

It was the 1st day of the month, so that means I work all night and play all day...
Since it's that time of year again, we headed to the Tooele County Fair... IT SUCKED ROCKS! They had a free thing for the kids to do a craft, and of course we show up just in time for Hats of all things stupid!

Once they had the hats made and, *sigh*, on their heads, it was off to see the animals.

Conveniently enough the fair was right next to the pool!

After a relaxing day at the pool, the kids went to Moo Shin Kwan (That's Korean for Martial Arts!) for "Tip Testing." This is a mid-point between belt advancements. They have to demonstrate their "forms" and be critiqued by their instructor.

They both did well, and will be studying and practicing hard to get their next belt advancement. As for today, Kylee earned her Yellow Tip for her White Belt.

Rylan earned his green tip for his yellow belt.

Sounds like you need a day off to recuperate from your day off!

Gotta love those county fairs ... NOT!

I'm glad the kids are learning martial arts, so they don't get beat up in High School like you did MarK (ha, ha, ha). Seriously though, I am amazed at how big martial arts have become. When we drive around Erie there is a DOJO every block or so...it reminds me of the amount of Mexican restaurants in Ogden, or Mormon Church’s in Kaysville...they are EVERYWHERE!!!

It looks like the kids look forward to first day of the month, even if you don't Marcus!

Since when did Ky start Moo Shin Kwan? I thought it was just Ry? We're proud of Ry for getting his yellow belt...I had no idea they had "tips" for the belts....but congrats for that too! Although I don't think Kylee needs any martial arts practice....she's pretty tough now!
