Non-Stop Fun

Another weekend filled with lots of activities.

Saturday morning started with "Pancakes with Parents" at the elementary school. So, bright and early at 8:30 to eat breakfast with the kids and attend a book fair. The kids each bought a book and entered the "Guess How Many Plastic Animals In The Jar" contest.

Straight from there we headed to Home Depot for the monthly woodworking project with the kids. This month's project was an "Easel" for displaying pictures.

It's always fun to help the kids make their projects, and it was even better this month because Shelly was there as well.

From Home Depot, it's run home, change the kids into their Martial Arts uniform and head straight to Belt Testing for both of them.

After demonstrating the forms required for their advancement, they each had to demonstrate strength and concentration.

Kylee had to break a board with her foot...

Rylan had to break 2 boards, one with his elbow... The other as a jumping side kick.

This was done in rapid succession, rather impressive.

Both passed their test and advanced in rank. Rylan to Blue Belt and Kylee to Green.

After a celebration lunch, Dad had to head out to DJ a party in Park City, rolling back in around 1AM.

A Long, but fun-filled day!

"Non stop" for sure, the "fun" part is definitely questionable though! Looks like a busy and very productive day. Way to go Ry and Ky, you two are quite the ferocious duo!

Some guys get to have all the fun. We just sit home, read and watch grandma puzzle. Now we're not complaining much. I bet the
concentration part of martial arts gets less attention than the strength element. We have a hard time seeing Ry and Ky doing a lot of meditating but both appear to be having fun which is the main point. Maybe they could take another class in how to react with the old folks. Just kidding, you both are doing great and I like the parentals involvement. Luv ya...
