Needless to say there was a LOT of screaming going on. After we got her shirt off we started running her arm under cold water. Once it was apparent that the burns were bad enough we headed to the Doctor's office.
She was quite a trooper. She did cry a bit, but less than I would have expected. The Dr. put some ointment on the burns, dressed it, and sent her home. As you can see, she still managed to smile.
This morning, I ran home to clean the dead skin off the burns and rewrap it.
The Dr. gave her a pill to make her "sleepy" for me to do this, however, miss "Drug Resistant" failed to be tired, in fact I think it made her wired instead. Nevertheless she still managed to smile for the camera.

Holy Crap!! OUCH!! Those pictures make me want to cry. Poor Ky. I am such a baby when it comes to burns- she is such a trooper. All I want to do right now is cuddle by my Ky girl. Love you Ky! Hope you feel better soon!

I thought that I burned Olivia with boiling water once when she was just one. I went to pour out the water in the sink and lost my grip and she was of course standing next to me. I rushed her to the tub, shoved her under the water as she screamed and then yelled for my dad to help me. We were living with him at the time. He comes in and I am asking him to help me check her over and not a mark on her! She was screaming because I submerged her body in the cold bath tub! It was awful, she was just shivering and whimpering! In case you were wondering I won MOTHER OF THE YEAR!!
Poor Ky! I HATE getting burned...but I've definitely never been burned that bad! It makes me hurt just looking at it!

Kylee hasn't complained once since last night. I think my kids have Marc's pain tolerance, because I'm a real wuss.
When Marc changed her bandages this morning I about passed out, it looked horrible. She is quite the trooper!!

Ouch that makes me hurt for everyone. There is nothing worse than a burn, and a bad one at that. I'm sad for Kylee, and sad for Mom and Dad who had to see their little Ky get hurt, and had to clean up the mess, and had to take her to the doc, and had to take care of the wounded, and the the list goes on and on. Glad Ky was sent to a home where she is in such capable and caring hands!
Poor girl! Hopefully she recovers quickly!
