Easter Extended

WARNING!!! This is a long post covering two days with a lot of activities and a bunch of pictures!

Saturday April 11th

Once again, Shelly and Anna held their annual Brittany Way Easter Egg Hunt!
It's amazing how many people showed up. This is the first time I got to participate, and am glad I did! Shelly and Anna went to a lot of work putting it together, and did a great job!

We had 14 families gather in the driveway, and fortunately the weather cooperated!

Poor Rylan didn't get to "hunt" this year, he was too old by two days. He did get to help hide the eggs and toss the candy on the yards for the little kids to hunt.

Kylee of course had a great time hunting, and looked as cute as ever.

Once again we had Brooklyn and Jace down for the hunt, along with Tiff and Tara who spent a couple of days.

Once the hunting was done, they all had a potluck breakfast in the garage / driveway.

After the crowds were gone, we got to just hang out with the kids. Brooklyn was even beginning to like me a little, and let me hold her. It was amazing!

Next came the fun activity of Dying Easter Eggs. I think Tiff was more excited to do this than any of the kids were!

Everybody got to be involved in the fun!

Sunday April 12th - Easter Day!
===================================================================

Apparently the kids were good enough to be visited by the Easter Bunny. I figured after all the candy and crap they got the day before that they would not really care... Boy Was I Wrong!

Kylee got to dress up so cute for Easter Sunday!

And I absolutely LOVE this photo of her!
The whole family looked good for Easter Sunday - If only church wasn't at 1PM and screwed up the whole schedule for the day!

After church we headed up to Grandma & Grandpa Barnes' for their annual Easter egg hunt as well as dinner. While we were waiting for T&T/T&W to show up, we took some cute family photos in front of the waterfall (minus the water).

Once everyone showed up, it was time to turn the kids loose on the yard to find the hidden eggs:

We all enjoyed watching them run around... My Dad and Mom were there (Sorry, no picture of mom), and Shelly told me I Had to use this photo online, so here they are watching them hunt, and Rylan after he dropped his bucket for the 3rd time:

After a YUMMY Easter Dinner (We NEVER Have Enough Deviled Eggs!!!!) The kids went out to the field by the cemetery with Grandpa Taylor and Wes to fly their kites that the Easter Bunny delivered earlier in the day.

From there Rylan got to celebrate his birthday once again. Shelly, "Best Mom In The World", ordered him a "UTES" cake, we were hoping for a bigger "U" on the cake, but it was still cute. And Delicious!

There's just something about Costco cakes that make you want to eat more than you should! Luckily Rylan didn't spit on it when he blew out the candles!

Grandma and Grandpa Barnes gave him a cute card with his present:
It reads:
"YUPI" Rylan "EYE" hope U had a "Happy Birthday". It's no "Surprise" U R A good "EGG". Here's a "Gift Card" so you can "Skittles" to the store & C what U want.

Grandma and Grandpa Taylor got him a new white shirt and tie, something he can really use. Tara, Wes, Tiff, & Trev, got him the game "Apples to Apples Junior", a Bakagon and Bakagon card game.

He loved everything. He's a lucky little guy.

Grandma Taylor gave Kylee a Handkerchief that belonged to her mom, I hope Kylee will someday appreciate what it means.

It was a great Easter weekend, spent with family and friends, what more could we ask for?!

Looks like a great weekend! I am so glad the weather cooperated for you, I guess you all had another snow storm yesterday or something... I think we are all ready for spring to stay at this point!

Love you all and miss you tons!

At first glance, I thought there was a scowl on Brooklyn's face, but after I blew the picture up; I realized she was smiling. Way to go Marc, it looks like you've won her over.

It is really cool that you guys have such a close knit community that you can plan and have activities like the Easter egg hunt and breakfast. Our neighbors here have some pretty big parties, but most of the people are a lot older than us and don't have kids.

I'm glad you guys had a good Easter and we definitely missed Easter dinner at the Taylors.

Wow, you guys were really on top of things for Easter this year. It was nice having it in April instead of March- I love it when it falls this month instead. Still a cold one this year, but better than some. The kids are as darling as ever. I like Kylee's hair cut too. I wish we would have seen you on Sunday, but had already made plans to head to my parents instead. We hope to see you guys soon though!
