The "Memorial Day" week was filled with lots of family fun from many activities.
Saturday was HELP WES and TARA AT THEIR NEW HOUSE DAY! We spent the better part of the day helping clean weeds, paint doors and trim, set up rooms, etc. so that Tara and Wes can move into their place before the baby is born.
Afterwords we headed to Tiff and Trevor's for a BBQ. Trev and Tiff put on a nice spread, then the girls were nice enough to let the boys go see Angels and Demons. This was a MUCH better movie adaptation of the book than DaVinci Code was.
Sunday was church... 'nuff said.
Memorial Day was a LOT like last year, except this year it rained like CRAZY the day before, instead of ON Memorial Day. The end result was the same, No Bike Ride for Marc and Wes. :(
The Annual Grandma Kemp Memorial Day Party was in full swing once more this year.
Shelly and I started by having Rylan take our picture together, I think he caught a good photo.
Our Family got a cute photo together as well.
As Grandma Barnes mentioned in her blog post, Ry and Ky scored (in their opinion) in the prizes. If Rylan NEVER gets another stuffed animal, I think it'll be okay! All the grandkids seemed to have fun playing the games and running around.
One of my highlights was when JACE got the whistle and not one of my kids. I tried to convince him that it was the best "CAR TOY" ever invented. Sadly, he didn't blow it on the way home according to Tiff.
The "Boys" seemed a little more excitement was in order for the day, so we headed the theater to see the new Terminator movie. That was a wasted 2 hours of our lives. BUT things got better for everyone when we headed back to Tiff & Trev's for some BBQ (Part 2) and a "Friendly" game of soccer or 3 amongst the family.
It's always fun to hang with the Zezula's, their kids are even starting to warm up to the Taylor's, amazingly Brooklyn would let Kylee hold and play with her.
Thursday Night was the last Student / Parent activity for the 4th Grade students at Rylan's School:
Saturday, Rylan and I went with Troy Evans to the World SuperBike event at Miller Motor Sports Park. It was fun seeing all the motorcycles on display as well as watching the bikes race around the track:
This is as close (for now) as I get to riding a motorcycle!
We did manage to catch the only crash of the day. And what you see is dust not smoke.
Mostly it was about spending quality time with my little man!
He even snapped a good shot of a racer going by where we were standing.

Sounds like it was a wonderful weekend of hanging out with the fam!
Nate and I will have to go see Angel's and Demons, we were wondering if it would be any good, I always make sure I gorge on treats to make up for a bad movie!!
If it weren't for you and Tif we may never even know what Tara and Wes are up to, so thanks for keeping us informed. We have been wondering who we will get the news from when she has the baby.
Thanks for the fun weekend! It was so nice to spend so much time with you guys!! Thankfully, the "car toy" is "lost". Enough said.
Trevor would be jealous of Ry getting to see all those motorcycles!
I SO don't like motorcycles and Mike is begging me to get one. Don't go over to the dark side Marc or I will forever hear about it!!! I will buy you a "WHOLE" pineapple upside down cheesecake for that sacrifice ;)
No worries Jenny, Marc was on the dark side before we had kids, but his 'evil' wife made him sell his yellow honda crotch rocket and she still pays for it every time he sees a motorcycle!!
