Trekkin'

Dylan finally got here and was just in time to go on Pioneer Trek for a few days. I don't have many pictures right now, but will be making the video for his trek family and will post it when it's done.

He got up really early and donned his Pioneer garb before heading to the church to meet up with everyone that was going.

From there we took them up to Dugway where they loaded up their handcarts and headed out for the trail.

I'll let Dylan tell about what happened during the Trek, but Shelly and a few other parents from our ward went to the end of the trail to meet them as they came in.

It's amazing and wonderful to see Dylan smiling at the end of walking around 40 miles in a few days.

Dylan's made a few new friends and re-established some old friendships.

He tells us he's glad he went, but at this point has no desire to do it again. :)

Dylan is amazing, I don't know that I would have made it 44 miles in 4 days!! I've never seen him look so happy, he was beaming from ear to ear when he saw me at the end of his journey! (I'm sure he knew I'd hook him up with some 'real' food.) He has such a tight knit group of friends here, it's good to see him so happy!!
