A Week of Firsts

This was the First Week of School for everyone in the Taylor Home.

There were several "Firsts" that we got to experience.

I got to take my very "First" "First" Day of School picture of Dylan.
Dylan got to go to Early Morning Seminary for the "First" time. Dylan also got to spend his "First" week as a Tooele High School Buffalo.

Shelly, Rylan, and Kylee got to experience their "First" week as they were members of the "First" group of students that attended the "First" Charter School in the county. Shelly got to experience the joys and pains of her "First" dealings of parents as a member of the "First" Board of Trustees.

The kids got to have their "First" pictures of them going to school in their School Uniforms.

Of course Kylee had to take her "First" picture with her new teacher.

Dylan went to his "First" Pasta Party as a member of the Tooele High Cross Country Team on Friday... The goal of a Pasta Party is to get some carbohydrates in the kids' system for energy to run the next day. And also to just hang out and have some fun with each other!

And of course, since I was invited, they also got to dance!

Finally, on Saturday, Dylan got to participate in his "First" Cross Country meet.
It was a "Marathon" start as there were a TON of boys running, Dylan got stuck in the middle of the pack.

Of course, Ry and Ky were cheering for him, waiting for him to run across the finish line.

In the end, he shaved 5 minutes off his best time, and finished in the middle of the pack.

Looks like you guys are all set! You will have to let us know how you like the charter school. There aren't very many charter schools here, the private schools are the big thing and they are just ridiculously expensive.... and mostly affiliated with some religion which clearly we are against. Our kids start tomorrow and I am SOOOOOO looking forward to it!
