Valentine's Weekend

SATURDAY FEBRUARY 12th

Saturday the 12th was Shelly's first real "Get Together" since her surgery. Tom, Andrea and Ashley came down to have dinner and hang out.

The girls were doing "Craft Night" while the boys watched "The Green Hornet."

Since the boys weren't invited to the crafting section, the girls took over the upstairs, covering the table with all the crap they would be using on their projects.

Marc & Tom were in charge of dinner, so we threw some thick steaks on the BBQ. With that were some Mushrooms sauteed in white wine and balsamic vinegarette and some red potatoes drizzled with olive oil and several seasonings.
I thought it looked amazingly delicious, and by the smile on Shelly's face, she thought it tasted as fantastic as I did!

Craft night ended with Shelly having a really cute plaque of the Salt Lake Temple, and poor Kylee tried so hard to keep up with the adults, but managed to crash on the table. :)

Shelly and Andrea were working on a "Graffiti Art" project using the vinyl cutter, here's what it's supposed to look like, of course removing the backing and placing the words directly onto the board.

We did take a group photo before they left, and goofball Rylan had to jump into the picture...

We kicked him out of the 2nd attempt.

SUNDAY FEBRUARY 13th

Shelly had Kylee looking so cute for church on Sunday. The Heart-Braid in her hair and the pink dress was a very "Valentiney" look.

The afternoon was a trip to Tiff & Trev's to have dinner and hang out.
Since it was such a nice day the kids spent some time playing outside.

Tiff made Sugar Cookies to decorate and home-made icing. Rylan of course HAD to lick the frosting beater. I love that I captured his tongue trying to wrap around the center of it.

The evening was spent just hanging and enjoying good food, good cookies, and fun with family.

Dylan actually did some homework, and Jace couldn't manage to play enough games on Shelly's phone.

Monday February 14th

Monday that 14th was a regular school / work day. Shelly, again "Mom of the Year", decorated the kids' doors, so that when they got home they had their door all cute.

I managed to get Dylan to show off the prizes that Mom had left for them as they arrived home. The other 2 had eaten the bulk of the candy by the time I got home and managed to get the camera out.

For dinner, we had a family candlelight dinner from Hunan.

The kids always love having a family candlelight dinner.

I will say it was fun to stretch out this holiday over a few days. Even though I don't normally get excited about Valentine's day (I don't need a special day to tell my wife just how much I Love Her), it's still fun to see the kids enjoy it.

That being said, "HAPPY 3rd WEEK IN FEBRUARY" Honey. I Love You More Than Words Can Say!!!!!
