A Zezula Visit

Trev, Tiff, and Kids came down to spend the day.

Hallelujah! We had Hunan for lunch! Afterwords we pretty much played.

While Trev and I went to a movie; Kylee and Kaitlyn, (Rylan's up at Kelly's with Nick for the weekend) enjoyed spending time with Jace and Brooklyn.

When we got back it was a free-for-all in the pool in the backyard. Just before he got in the pool I snapped a great photo of Jace!

Trevor spent time showing the girls that it's okay to get dunked!

He did manage to take what he was giving out!

Kylee was doing some sort of "Karate Kid" pose,

Brooklyn wouldn't let go of the pool,

While Jace was taking the "Squirt Gun Assassin" role a little too seriously!

Dylan made his grand entrance, showing what it's like to spend nearly a week in a canoe... gotta love almost too much sun!

Brooklyn did try on the swim goggles for a sec, but she was also "clingy" to mom, however she did gave Mom some cute kisses!

Shelly mad a super yummy dinner of BBQ Chicken sandwiches. It's always fun to have T&T come to visit. We definitely need to do it more often!!!!

We're Back (Actually We Never Left)

Well, January came and went. I think mom was right when she said time goes by faster as we get older. That being the case, the folks must be wondering where November went right about now. :)

Time to play catch-up!

Shelly and Anna took the kids on their annual M.L. King holiday weekend to a hotel with a pool.

This year it was the Best Western in Lehi, conveniently located near a Target!

We spent a night playing games with our friends The Halls which was fun. Any excuse to play "Ticket To Ride"

We did take the opportunity a sunny day provided to try Rylan's "Rip Stick" that he got for Christmas. Shelly cheated a little on it!

Super Bowl Sunday the Johnson's came over for the annual "Commercial Party." We tried the new pizzas that Domino's has. The new HAWAIIAN and VEGETARIAN are both very good! The best part of the day, however, was the gift that my friend J.R. gave me, a University of Utah football helmet.

We ate lots of junk food, Shelly hooked us up as she always does. Happily the game was great to watch, and in my opinion Dorito's won the commercial bowl!

JamPacked and Fun Filled Day

We have been fortunate enough to have had Tiff & Trev's kids the last couple of days. Shelly and I both love them to pieces, the girls (Kylee and the Loertscher girls) can't get enough of Brooklyn, and Ry is just the best little helper ever.

Shelly and I both agreed we could never do the small children thing again. Both of us think Tiffany is insane er.. Amazing!

Today was almost NON-Stop fun. Rather than post all the pictures we took today, I put them to video. So here's what happens in the first half of the day.

  • The kids and I spent the early part of the morning (pre nap time) dancing in the basement to techno type music REALLY LOUD! This was a big hit with Brooklyn, who, prior to today would only let Shelly hold her. In fact she was crying as Shelly left her with me to the store. But, music was the answer, so after we danced all morning, Brooklyn let me hold her for the rest of the day. Even reaching for me to get off Shelly's arms for a while.
  • Kylee and Rylan go to a birthday party at their friend Derek's house. His parents get these cool inflatables for their kids' parties, and they had this water-slide that the kids had a BLAST on.
  • While the kids were at the party, Our Ward was setting up for having a block party. Quite literally in our front yard, so when I picked the kids up from Derek's they immediately jumped in line to get DUNKED in the dunk tank that was set up in the street.

From there we headed to Deseret Peak to the Hospital Summer party being held at the pool.
  • They had Pony Rides for the kids, Kylee looked like she had been doing it her whole life, Brookly assumed Jockey position and wanted to take off... Jace HATED being put on the pony, but we found that it was okay to just pet the horse, and Rylan got to be led around by a friend of his. All in all a fun little experience.
  • The pool is ALWAYS a hit with the kids, and both Rylan and Kylee were good to help with the two little ones.

One of the other activities they had was a Mechanical Bull... This was the one thing that Kylee was looking forward to more than any other!
