Fun Fun Friday!

Since I have a ton of Vacation Time I decided to take Friday off and we headed to spend the day with Tara and Wes. Even better, I it was NOT RAINING!!!! So, hallelujah, Wes and Marc got to go biking on the Bonneville Shoreline trail on the East Benches of Ogden.

The Girls, and Rylan, mostly stayed at Tara's and hung out. Noah is one of the cutest and quietest babies I've ever seen.

Rylan got to hold him for a little while.

The Girls Chillin'

I think this is the only time Noah Cried.

I could hold him all day, and give him back with a smile! I love holding little nieces and nephews. But I'm also glad our kids are the ages they are.

4th Of July 2008

This has been a Fun Filled Day!

We started off by getting Dylan off to the 5K Freedom Run that he wanted to participate in.

We are VERY PROUD of him for this. He's been running with the cross country team for the past few weeks and he took the initiative to get signed up for the race. He finished in the middle of the pack, something to be very proud of himself!

The race was right before the Tooele Parade.

The kids looked so cute, and they both were just the best, giving candy that they would get to the littler kids around them.

We watched the parade, which was long, got lots of candy, and even saw a few F16's do a FlyOver. (That's always cool!)

After a bite to eat, Shelly made her World Famous Chocolate Chip Rice Krispy Treats and we headed up to Grandpa Barnes' for Dinner, as well as for Wes and I to go for a bike ride.

We headed up to the East Side of Ogden, above Weber State and hit the Bonneville Shoreline Trail. When we go to the top, we took a couple photos, Wes on his Blue/Yellow YETI and Marc on my White/Black Rocky Mountain. Also, it's a fantastic view of the Ogden valley! Better panoramic shot here than the one I did in Tooele! This time I had more than my Cell Phone camera! :-D

I need to do more rides like this, say every week! Or More!

Memorial Day 2008

This has been a weekend we have been planning for months... only to have every single one of our plans go up in smoke.

Originally, this was the GO BIKING IN MOAB weekend. But, due to the fact that it was supposed to rain 3 out of the 5 days we were planning on being there, we canceled the trip.

So, Friday and Saturday we didn't do anything too exciting, just hung out as a family. On Sunday we met Nate, Angie and the girls at Cheesecake Factory for lunch. It's fun to visit with them, it also kind of sucks that they are moving to Pennsylvania in the next couple of weeks...

Plan 2. The guys were all planning on going biking in the Ogden foothills before heading to Grandma Kemp's annual Memorial Day party.

So, I get my bike all ready on Saturday, got the bike rack out on Sunday, then Monday Morning I woke up to this...

It rained even harder on the trip up to the parents' place in Ogden. They have a great view of the mountains where we were planning on biking this morning.... We would have been well into the cloud cover.

At least we all got to get cozy as too many people jammed into Norm's garage, since we could not eat nor even hold the picnic in the front yard like normal, so Norm was gracious to have Julie's sister Christine tell him the party was being held there instead.

Despite the weather, the kids were undaunted, and had to play on Grandma and Grandpa's new play center. Wet slides and swing seats were no matter!

Of course they played a bunch of silly games for prizes, and my favorite prize was Rylan's "I'm A STAR" glasses...

One of the neater things about this holiday is that the Boy Scouts put an American Flag throughout the lawns of the neighborhood, and blowing in the breeze it was rather neat to look at.

All-in-All, even though my biking plans got ruined, it was still a great weekend because I got to spend it with my wonderful family.
