March 2010 Update

I know it's been TOO LONG since I updated the blog, so instead of uploading 50 pictures, I put them in a video. Here's what it contains:

The month of March started off with Dylan running in the Tooele High School 5K on a windy Saturday morning.

Dylan and Rylan both received awards at Ry’s first Court of Honor.

Uncle Sam was so kind as to return the money we had loaned him in the form of Taxes and we did our part to try and stimulate the economy by spending some of it on a new Stainless Steel “Double Oven” flat top range and matching microwave oven. They look freakin’ gorgeous with the new tile in the kitchen.

We also got our first “Brand New” Love Nest err… bed since getting married.

Dylan turned 16 on the 22nd. The weekend before, he had his first Birthday Party. Over 50 people showed up and a good time was had by all. The girls sang him “Happy Birthday” to start the night then left the older kids to dance, play some ball, and even had “Rock Band” playing on a projector and amplified speaker in another room.

On his actual birthday he got to experience the Taylor Family birthday ritual of early morning singing with cake and candles. There he got some of his birthday presents, a Nintendo Game, and T-Shirt. His “driving school” to get his actual license was his main gift. A couple of days later he ran at the first Tooele Track meet of the year.

That Sunday, Dylan was set apart as a Priest. We had most of the family out to participate in the event, following Church we all gathered at the house to celebrate that event and Dylan’s birthday as a family.

The best part of the whole day was when all the extended family had gone, Kylee gathered our family into her room and we had a little Tea Party, complete with little porcelain dishes.
