Valentine's Weekend - Part 1

Friday started off with the kids having no school, so Kylee had her friend Daniella over for the day and the kids made Valentine's cookies.

Of course, what good is a Valentine's cookie if you don't frost it and put candy hearts on top?!

Even Rylan would say they are "Finger Lickin'" Good.

DATE NIGHT
=========================================================================
All the adults got together to celebrate Valentine's (just doing it the night before.)
Tiff & Trev got a sitter for all the kids and we headed to Outback for dinner. Goofy pictures were the theme of the night it seemed.

But we did take one good group shot.

After dinner was a quick stop at Krispy Kreme for a free doughnut since the "Hot Light" was on. Of course the girls grabbed doughnuts for the kids, but the boys ate our own.

The "Surprise" of the night was when we let Trevor in on the fact the Shelly and I were taking their kids for the weekend.

We packed them up and headed out to meet Kelly and her kids. This was going to be a "Kid Swap" weekend with them as well, so what better place to meet than at Krispy Kreme?! Mmmm Doughnuts!

Wonder of Wonders, Brooklyn even let me hold her!

Sure looked like good doughnuts, but, of course, we didn't get invited. Oh I get it, it must have been after our bedtime. How would it be to be young and fancy free again? Been there, done that and it was great, but we are not complaining about where we are in life. We love to see each of your exciting episodes and hope you are enjoying each and every moment of life. Since we have the greatest children in the world, it only follows that these special grandchildren are the same. Life is good, real good.

Looks like a fun and busy weekend. Who can complain about good food and great company. We also had a krispy kreme binge this weekend and I have to say I'm not feeling so hot now!
